RAO WRITINGS

Stationary transits of slow moving planets, eclipses of luminaries and
transit conjunctions of slow moving planets with other planets are very
important in portending major events in life. These events trigger
important events in life.

Conjunction and samasaptaka of slow-moving planets (Jupiter, Saturn,
Rahu or Ketu) with other planets is very useful. At the time of such an
event, if those planets closely conjoin/aspect important natal positions
in rasi/divisional charts, they can trigger an important event. Nature
of the event is decided based on what the conjoined/aspected natal
position signifies in natal rasi/divisional charts. This is particularly
true if the planets in conjunction or samasaptaka in transit have some
auspicious or inauspicious synergy between what they show in that natal
chart. I will illustrate this principle in this article.

I am using planetary calculations as per Sri Surya Siddhanta (SSS).

Example 1: 1970 April 4, 5:48 pm (IST), Machilipatnam, India (81e08,
16n10). The person left his motherland on 1991 August 15.

At the time of event, Jupiter was at the beginning of Leo. But there was
a conjunction of Jupiter and Mars at 18Cn32 on 1991 June 16. Jupiter is
the lagna lord joining 12th lord Mars in D-4. Jupiter-Mars yoga can show
settling abroad. Moreover, they give a raja yoga (1st/5th lords) and
show fortune in the matter of residence. In natal D-4, Jupiter is at
18Cp24 and Mars is at 16Cp18. They have a yoga in natal D-4 too and they
show poorvapunya and setting abroad. At the time of transit conjunction,
Mars and Jupiter very closely aspected the natal D-4 positions of
themselves. This triggered the event in a couple of months.

Example 2: 1970 April 4, 5:48 pm (IST), Machilipatnam, India (81e08,
16n10). The person got a child on 1996 February 18.

Saturn had a conjunction with Venus at 24Aq59 on 1996 January 29. In
natal D-7, Venus and Saturn are 5th and 9th lords and their conjunction
is auspicious for fortune and poorvapunya. At the time of transit
conjunction at 24Aq59, they closely aspected the natal D-24 position of
Moon at 25Le19. Moon is the 2nd lord (family) in the 3rd house (11th
house of fulfilment of desires from 5th house of child). Saturn-Venus
conjunction triggered luminary Moon and brought a child soon.

Example 3: 1970 April 4, 5:48 pm (IST), Machilipatnam, India (81e08,
16n10). The person stood first in his state in 12th grade exams on 1987
May 28 and got selected for admission to IIT after a couple of days.

At the time of event, Jupiter was at the end of Pisces. But Jupiter had
a conjunction with Rahu at 19Pi18 on 1987 April 21. In natal D-24,
Jupiter and Rahu are the 7th/10th and 9th lords and their conjunction is
auspicious for fortune and success in education. At the time of transit
conjunction at 19Pi18, they were close to the natal D-24 position of
Venus at 16Pi40. Venus is the 5th lord exalted in 10th and shows
success, recognition and fame. Jupiter-Rahu conjunction triggered Venus
and brought success and recognition.

Example 4: 1970 April 4, 5:48 pm (IST), Machilipatnam, India (81e08,
16n10). The person got married in August 1993.

Saturn at 3Aq27 and Mars at 3Le27 had a samasaptaka on 1993 June 18. In
natal D-9, Saturn is 9th lord (dharma) and yogakaraka and Mars is 7th
lord (marriage). Their conjunction is auspicious for marriage and
dharma. At the time of transit samasaptaka, Mars was close to the natal
D-9 position of Saturn at 2Le21. Saturn is the yogakaraka and 9th lord
of dharma. Saturn-Mars samasaptaka triggered Saturn and brought a
marriage arranged by elders.

Example 5: 1970 April 4, 5:48 pm (IST), Machilipatnam, India (81e08,
16n10). The person had a powerful out of body mystical experience during
meditation on 2005 June 10. This experience demonstrated to him that the
sensory reality is a very tiny part of absolute reality and the
"self-identity" that we cling on to is not our true identity and letting
this limited identity go results in great bliss though we normally
resist it heavily. This experience triggered a huge internal
transformation.

Jupiter and Ketu had a conjunction at 24Vi21 on 2005 August 23. In natal
D-20, Jupiter and Ketu are together in Sg in 8th house and show mystical
experiences and Kundalini rise. At the time of transit conjunction at
24Vi21, they were very close to the natal D-20 position of Mars at
21Vi28. Mars is the 12th lord (liberation) in the 5th house
(poorvapunya). Jupiter-Ketu conjunction triggered Mars and started the
process that may take the person towards liberation.

Though the first experience occurred on June 10, several mystical
experiences followed over the next several months. His internal
transformation and spiritual progress started in the second half of 2005
continues even now.

One should keep in mind that Kundalini awakening and initial rise is
only the beginning of the process of de-conditioning and eventual
liberation (liberation is disappearance of ALL conditioning).
Purification of awakened Kundalini (i.e. de-conditioning of a
conditioned consciousness that recognized the silliness of its
conditioning!) can take a long time.

Example 6: 1970 April 4, 5:48 pm (IST), Machilipatnam, India (81e08,
16n10). The person left his motherland on 1994 November 10.

At the time of event, Jupiter was at the beginning of Scorpio. But there
was a samasaptaka of Jupiter at 14Li09 and Mars at 14Ar09 on 1994 June
4. Jupiter is the lagna lord joining 12th lord Mars in D-4. Jupiter-Mars
yoga can show settling abroad (see example 1 for another occurrence!).
Moreover, they give a raja yoga (1st/5th lords) and show fortune in the
matter of residence. In natal D-4, Mercury is at 14Ar29. He is badhaka
lord and shows going abroad. At the time of transit samasaptaka, Mars
very closely conjoined natal D-4 of Mercury and Jupiter very closely
aspected it. This triggered the event in a few months. The opportunity
came suddenly without trying in the first of week of September.

When conjunction/samasaptaka of key planets in a natal divisional chart
occurs in transit and they conjoin/aspect key natal divisional
positions, an important life-changing event may be triggered. But it can
sometimes be after a few months.

Example 7: 1970 April 4, 5:48 pm (IST), Machilipatnam, India (81e08,
16n10). The person lost his job on 2002 August 12 when the startup
company he worked for went in to hibernation.

Jupiter and Sun had a conjunction at 4Cn38 on 2002 July 21. In natal
D-10, Jupiter and Sun are the 2nd and 7th lords from 6th house of job
and marakas for job. Even from lagna, they are badhaka lord and the 12th
lord of loss. Their conjunction is inauspicious and shows
problems/losses in job. At the time of transit conjunction at 4Cn38,
they were very close to the natal D-10 position of Venus at 4Cn27. Venus
is the 9th lord (fortune). Jupiter-Sun conjunction triggered Venus and
affected fortune adversely by bringing a job loss.

Example 8: Rajiv Gandhi's birthdata is 1944 August 20, 7:12 am (IST),
72e49, 18n58. He became India's prime minister in the first week of
November 1984.

Jupiter and Mars had a conjunction at 14Sg09 on 1984 October 15. In
natal D-10, Jupiter is lagna lord in lagna aspecting 5th and Mars is the
5th lord. Their conjunction is auspcious and can show power. When they
were conjoined in transit at 14Sg09, they were close to natal D-10
position of Jupiter at 11Sg44. Jupiter-Mars conjunction triggered
Jupiter and gave a powerful position in career.

Example 9: Rajiv Gandhi's birthdata is 1944 August 20, 7:12 am (IST),
72e49, 18n58. He lost India's Prime Ministership in elections at the end
of November 1989.

Saturn and Venus had a conjunction at 13Sg54 on 1984 November 14. In
natal D-10, Saturn and Venus are functional malefics. From the 5th house
of power, Venus is 2nd/7th lord and a maraka and Saturn is badhaka lord
in 8th. Their conjunction is inauspcious and can show setbacks to power.
When they were conjoined in transit at 13Sg54, they were close to natal
D-10 position of Jupiter at 11Sg44. Jupiter is the lagna lord in lagna
aspecting 5th house. Saturn-Venus conjunction triggered Jupiter
negatively and gave a setback to power in career.

Narasimha
